Hi there one and all thank you for your support and welcome to anouther year of rocking. Staff and trainees are already working on pre production for more studio work. Today we did a Mono recording on one of the hottest days 43 degrees c and without the Airconditioner working. What else can you do on a hot day. the Jam included, Brian Pinjama Morton Vocals, Brian Murphy, Guitar and Vox, Brenden Hines on Bass. The guys were joined by Eric Broome the EO of Barkly Regional Arts ( Congas and Project officer Jeff Mclaughlin on Drums. This was a Great workshop in Dynamic Range and Music History like those old 50's recordings. Happy new year

This podcast shows the great talent of one of the younger members of the Rock squad Waylon Ward. The Lyrics were written by his father and the song was developed by Steve Berry from Music Outback wilst here conducting workshop for the Rock squad back in Sept 2007. This song has also been put together into a Filmclip with the Youth Development Unit as apart of their Charles Darwin University Film Course. We had an open day on Tusday 10th July 07 to celebrate National NAIDOC week 2007. We had live bands and we also had many activities happening during the day including podcasting. Hi Everyone, We have been very busy here at the Winanjjikari Music Centre recently. We have been busy recording songs, doing language retention, working at large scale festivals such as the Barunga Festival, Learning about Audio...the list is very long, so aplogogise that a new pod cast has not been posted recently. We have an Open day coming up very soon. It will be during the Tennant Creek Nadioc Week. The Open day is on TUSDAY 10TH JULY, 10.30AM - 4PM so come along and meet us at the Winanjjikari Music Centre in Tennant Creek, NT Australia! There will be live music, pod cast creation, demostrations of the audio equipment and also you can hear our songs and music! hope to see you there and I promise a new pod cast will be coming soon. Hello and Welcome to the Winanjjikari Music Centre's brand new podcast. Watch this space as we will be uploading the first podcast in a few days time. We come to you all the way from Tennant Creek which is located 500km north of Alice Springs in Australia. We will be introducing you to some of the local artists from the Tennant Creek area and also the Barkly region. We will feature interveiws with the artists who are mainly from aboriginal backgrounds. We will also be sharing there music with the world. The Winanjjikari Music Centre is an "Australian first" Project and it is designed to teach the Aboriginal communities new skills in music and music production. Winanjjikari means "Singing for belonging" in Aboriginal. There is currently an official website in the development stages and that will feature LIVE video feeds so you will be able to look into the centre and the BRAND NEW recording studio at any time and watch the music sessions as they happen.
